Screen not aligned

Ref. HP ipaq hx4700: "Align screen" after hard reset or battery loss. I know others have had trouble getting past the "align screen" setup; I saw a suggestion somewhere that said the points were registered incorrectly (maybe in some, but not all of this model?); and they had to tap at locations other than the center of the cross symbol. I tried a variety of combinations, and found that if I tap ABOVE the center (but still on the vertical centerline) for the middle, top left and top right locations; and tap BELOW the center (but still on the vertical centerline) for the bottom left and bottom right...it worked. That brought me to the "Stylus" setup screen...which I also became "stuck" on. So far, I haven't found a solution to THAT issue yet. Gee, why can't they make these things simpler?

i think you have a problem with you touch screen digitizer. you can send your device to a repair center to replace the TP only, without the need od replacing the entire LCM display panel.
A touch panel withou the lCD should cost much less than an LCD.

I have a tmobile wing the phone works fine but the touch screen does not work. i got the phone from someone and when i switch the sim cards it went to the screen that says to taap it to align the screen..i...

All you have to do is tap the screen with the stylus (slim pen that is position on the bottom right side of phone) where ever you see ( + ). Follow the plus sign ( + ) where ever it is on your screen. It should go in 5 different directions on the screen before it prompts you to the next screen. This process is mostly needed for hard reset (starting from original factory settings) or if you need to align the screen with the stylus.

Please make sure while performing the aligning task to tap the center of the (+) as possible. Not doing so may result in a poor functioning screen.
