Question about Pioneer PD-F606 25-Disc CD Changer
Someone unplugged the player when a cd was playing and the cd got stuck. The doors wouldn't open because of the stuck cd. Someone went a little too far trying to get it to open and the bottom door popped off, along with this V shaped spring (a V shape with a circle inside between the narrow part of the V, the circle being the spring and the V being some type of leverage). Can't figure out how this spring fits, all the combos we tried leaves the door flopped open (the hinge is on the bottom). We know where the spring comes from, the circle part hooks on to the hinge entension but can't figure out how it goes beyond that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Dori
In any CD player/changer, this issue is often the result of either the CD itself or the laser optic being in need of cleaning. You can actually clean the CD by using your hands or a soft lint-free cloth and wash in dish soap and slightly warm water, then rinse. If the optic itself needs the cleaning, you can buy a kit at any stereo shop or Radio Shack. I would start with the CD and then clean the optic if necessary.
