Question about Samsung (SHM522CBEWN) CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Drive

DVD Rom opens up automatically.

Hi all,
i have got my smasung DVD rom.it opens up and closes automaticallywhenever i try to open my computer and some other drives this problem occurs

    Thanks for ur response ...but the problem still exists.
    when i try to update the drivers of my rom it said ur drivers are up to date. i tried this with my driver cd of DVD rom.
    whenever i open up mycomputer and when i double click on ne of the drives new window opens up and DVD rom also opens and closes. i have chkd the settings for it,its proper for open each window in the same window.

    my combo doesnt gets open even after pushing button several times
    then it suddenly comes out and automatilcally closes

Hi , my cd rw crx300e does not respond to discs at all.i may have deleated components, all drivers are up to date,can i check this ?


make sure that the cdrw dvd rom is getting enough consistent power test all leads that are attached to the cd rom including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or
your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cdrw dvd rom then plug them back in this will activate found new hardware wizard

you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall your cd rom or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you will have options to update driver roll back driver select properties general troubleshoot select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver uninstall then reinstall
you need only do the registry check if you cant see the drive/s in windows explorer/my computer
it might be a registry problem
Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

Click start control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll to cd/dvd rom drives right click properties then properties again then tick enable cd digital cd audio for this cd rom device or scroll to dvd regions select the no _ for your specific area
If this does not fix the problem you might try

My matshita ujda760 dvd/cdrw read and burn cd but can't read dvd rom. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled but the problem continue.
