Do you have cable? if yes both tv and vcr should be on ch #3 (to record).......ok no cable you are already set up look at tv right....just need to record..you need your vcr remote.....turn on vcr...press the menu...go to ch settings..auto scan will look for and lock in your channels...also make sure the air/cable selection is on air (unless connected to cable)....hope this helpful....feel free to rate

Would like to tape from tv.

this should help jar your memory some....if your vcr is set/tuned to ch 3...and tv is set to ch 3....cable/dish box is your ch selector (tune to any ch u wish) put a blank tape in press record if you want to record....(you are not home, you must set the timer on the vcr /menu/timer recording settings)...make sure the cable box is set to the ch you wish to record...or else you will miss your recording you want.

Can not find my instructions book to turn my freeview tv into my video recorder

If the TV has a scart then you don't need to tune it. All you need do is connect a scart to the VCR and TV. Then when you want to record anything, set the VCR to an AV setting instead of channel 1 etc. You need to set it to the one with the scart, as the VCR will have more than one AV looking at it's picture. You then just press record. You won't be able to change channel, or the VCR will record that channel instead.
If this is a problem, get a freeview box and just have it connected direct to the VCR.
If the TV has only one scart, you can get one of these boxes below.

Hello sorry for where I connect the cables and connectors and if I see nothing

Best thing is to use a Scart lead & hook this up to the rear AV/Scart connector on the VCR then connect the other end to the AV socket at the rear of the TV. To see the playback select the AV input choice from the TV. The antenna cable will connect to the rear aerial input socket of the VCR & then you can retune the VCR so that it will pick up the channels for you to record.

Need to retune Sanyo VCR VHR-610.

On the Sanyo VHR-610 you start the TV auto tune by holding down both the CHANNEL ( +, - ) buttons on the VCR simultaneously for more than 2 seconds.
The TV stations in your area will be automatically preset in order starting from programme position number "01"

When all available stations have been preset, the function will stop and the TV station preset to programme position number "01" will be tuned on your TV screen.

In other words after holding down the two buttons, leave it alone for awhile (takes some time) till it ends back at 01.

Cheers

Panasonic NV SJ205 changing RF settings

Hi,
Your VCR has input to record video-audio signal. Here is 2 options to record program in vcr.
1= You need to hook up video-audio cable at Monitor Out in TV and video-audio in at VCR. select Line-1 or Line-2 (where you hook up cable) in vcr and insert cassette with Record Tab intact, VCR is ready to record TV program. select desired channel on tv and hit record button of vcr, recording will start.
2= Plug RF antenna / cable wire in RF In of vcr and tune desired channel in vcr (get help of vcr's user manual for that) and push record button to start record directly in vcr.
Have further query, let me know please.
bye.

Tv/vdr/cable box

Your hookup is correct- Your VCR needs to be tuned to channel 3 or 4, to match the cable box.

Also, the VCR channel output needs to be matched to the TV. If VCR menu options are displayed on the TV then this part is right. If not, then set either the VCR or TV to the correct channel.
