The Rotor Broke, can I Fix it with superglue?

1 Answer

Best if you can replace the rotor as i once tried to glue a rotor with glue it stays for a bit but then the glue weakens even though its try and it flings off very fast , it might cause further damage and shatter or it could give you a very nastly cut.

I dont recommend it , if its a low power helicopter then try it but if its ones that are petrol or have a 14.4V battery dont do it Dangerous speed!

Error 2 in 5417R,how do i solve it?thanks

Error 2 on this model indicates that the imbalance sensor is tripped. If you run the unit with an empty rotor and it does not error, then it simply means that your load was imbalanced. Make sure to put vials into the unit opposite each other, as below.

If it displays "Error 2" with an empty rotor and you did not notice a vibration, then the imbalance sensor is broken and must be replaced. Do not attempt to run the centrifuge without the imbalance sensor, as serious injury may result.

I repair these machines, but you would have to ship it to me in Ohio, which would probably be very expensive.

Here is a rotor balance chart:

Corning Pc-320 hotplate/stirrer. Where can I get a manual?

Why do you need a manual there is nothing to do. To make the stirring function work, you need a magnetic stir bar (just a Teflon coated magnet. There is a motor-powered spinning magnet under the ceramic plate.

The heater is not thermostatically controlled. It just heats more as you turn the dial more.

Caravelle 2.6i i replaced plugs, petrol filter, petrol pump, rotor and distributor cab but still misfiring

Pull the plugs back out and verify that they're all gapped correctly and still factory-clean. When they are, put them all back in & put the wire on. Start it, and pull one plug wire at a time off the distributor (engine RUNNING), leaving the spark plug end connected. The engine speed should fall significantly and the misfiring will get worse. ONE will act differently from all the rest - engine speed should NOT change significantly for that one wire, and the missing shouldn't change much. That wire leads to the offending cylinder. Shut off the engine and closely examine that plug wire for damage, arc traces, melted spots, anything.

Now, if one of the plugs you pulled out was fouled with fuel or oil, remember which cylinder it came from - you may have more serious trouble with that cylinder.

It might just be time to replace the plug wires. Or... if that's a new plug wire, it might be time to run a compression test on the engine to verify its mechanical condition, still focusing on that one cylinder you identified in the first test. Wear, bad valve, cracked head, stretched timing belt/chain, sticky hydraulic valve lifter, vacuum leak - any of those could cause a miss in one cylinder.

What CMOS-battery goes into the Zeiss Visucam lite (build 2006)?

The battery is soldered to the CPU. People from Zeiss Germany said that it needs to replace all the CPU. Now a days there is no longer spare parts for that instrument. I recommen you just change the day and time each time you turn it on

Can't open centrifuge

It the rotor cover will not release normally, look for a small white plastic button underneath the front of the unit. You will need a small flathead screwdriver or tweezers to pop it out. The plug is attached to a string that threads up to the locking mechanism, and can be used as an emergency lid release.

My son broke the round glass in the stage portion. Now I have about a 3" hole there. Where can I purchase another one?

VWR carries those, they're called stage plates and cost about 15 bucks a pop. Look at item number 19000-116.
