More information on fixing the VS55707

Hi, can you provide more detail to me for your instructions on troubleshooting?

I have a VS55707 that intermittently shuts off after multiple flashes of horizontal lines.

You said check a setting on your reply that I found here, but can you provide me a little more detail as to where the PCB board is? I am comfortable with electronics but dont know where this is once the panels are off

No. That model does not even support 3D. The technology did not exist when that model was made.

The problem here is heat related and can be as simple as poor solder connections at the vertical IC or a defective IC. If you can supply the make and model, more detailed information can be posted. If you can solder, there you may be able to fix this your self. Please update this with the make and model as well as whether or not you wish to attempt the repair and additional details and instructions will follow.

Thanks,

The screen on my TV is all white how can i fix it?

G'Day!

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

Hi, the picture keeps flashing on and off.

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with
troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need one
circuit board or small part. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

RCA TV Model F36650 Verticle

There are defective components in the vertical circuit. If you can solder and are comfortable working inside the set (there are dangerous high voltages present even when unplugged), you can fix this. Let me know and I'll provide additional details and instructions.

This is a failure of the vertical deflection circuit. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself. If you wish to attempt the repair, please update this and I'll provide additional details and instructions.
