Pretty easy fix 1 unplug electric 2. remove top, I am not sure of that model off hand but either screws in clips in back or just use putty knife and lift up the top in the front. 3. Disconnect the wires to the door switch 4, Remove bottom panel and the 2 screws that hold front panel on at the bottom then remove the 2 screws at the top that hold front panel on the drum should come free and you can replace the belt There should be a tensioner that came loose when belt broke you will need to re route the belt through the tensioner. reassemble in reverse.

Why does my dryer turn on ,heat up, n hear fan blowing but wont spin

Sounds like a broken belt to me. This would be the belt that wraps around the drum and motor. You will need to remove the lower front cover ( 2 small screws ) and look with a flashlight to see if the belt is broken or came off of the motor pulley. Most likely it's broken. It's a pretty easy repair. the lower front panel screws are pointed towards the floor so they're kind of hidden a little at an angle.

Hotpoint dryer won't stay on

The belt is probably broken. Their is a broken belt switch which keeps the main wire winding from working if the belt is broken. To check for broken belt open the door and remove the screws holding down the top. Remove the top, then take the front off and inspect that puppy. Here is my crappy video:

Dyer will not turn on. Can hole the starter button in and dryer will run. remove and the dryer will stop running. When holding the start button the dryer does not heat. Any Idea's as to what may be...

broken belt or broken broken belt switch most likely. Open the door. Hold in the door switch and push the start button. Does the drum turn? If it does turn then the broken belt micro switch is where I would look first. If the drum don't turn of course I would replace the broken belt.
The only Kenmore dryer that has a broken belt switch is the 4 wheel drive model. Here is a video which shows how to get into this dryer and replace the belt:

Broken belt for clothes dryer LG

Remove the front panel .. two screws probably.

Look for the belt tensioner on the floor when you get it open.

Fan belt replacement

Pop the top - it is held in place by spring clips. Lift it up ... you should see the belt. If you can lift the belt, it is broken - if you don't see it, it is broken. If you see it and can't move it, you have a different problem.

Broken belt, remove the front panel - be careful of the door wires.

The drum will fall free - remove it. Pay attention to the belt tensioner. It snaps into the floor. The belt goes through the tensioner and around the motor pulley.

Get a replacement at a appliance parts place or from a FixYa.com advertiser.

Dryer runs belt not broken and tumbler doesn't spin

the belt may not be broken but it might be stretched past its limits check and see if the electric motor is spinning when the belt is off but my personal suggestion is take a digital picture of the belt on the pulley and tensioner so you can reference it when putting it back together

Stopped tumbling

First make sure your belt is broken.
Take a putty knife or a old CD and insert it between the top and the front panel about 2 inches in from the sides where the top and front come together.
Push the clips towards the back of the machine while pulling up on the top.
Once it is open you can tell if the belt is broken or not.
It you see no belt around the drum it is broken.
If you see a belt around the drum pull on it carefully.
If it does not come loose it is not broken.
After you do this, let me know the result.
We will then move on to step #2.
