Yep, enclosed cabinet with glass doors and closed-in back.
He even has a DVD player and VCR sitting right on top of it (although I
would recommend a little more vertical space if you can give it).

Shane.

I use mine in an enclosed cabinet (wooden door, not glass). I don't
have anything
sitting on top of it though, and the distance between the next shelf and
the 835 is
about 20cm - so a reasonable amount of cooling. I don't have any
problems with
heat, then again it only gets cranked up about twice a month. Sleeping
kids
don't like it - it is capable of some serious volume for a cheap
amplifier.
The DSP stuff on it isn't worth diddly though.

Just got the tape measure out and this is what I came up with: 43 cm wide,
16cm high, 34cm deep.
levels?
I have this amp and it does put out a fair bit of heat. However as long as
it is well ventilated you should have no problems.

(doing a conversion from inches) I think the measurements are 43.18cm(W) x
15.88cm(H) x 40cm(D)
As for overheating... I have a friend with an 835 and he has never had any
overheating problems even at generous volume levels. Just make sure you have
good space for air flow around the unit and I don't think you'll have a
problem.
