Dashboard has a picture of a car with a padlock through it?

Fixed Problem (it was my van) no power to ignition wire at starter. Replaced Ignition lock cylinder. just worn down. (Delivery van 50-60 starts a day). 160k miles.

try disconneck the battery for a hour

activated immobilizer I believe the car won't start?

sound like problem in the theft security systm,try this insert another key in the ignition switch, the other key could be worn where pcm and bcm dont recognize it. and switch ignition on engine off watch padlock symbol with ignition switch left on 10 minutes the padlock symbol will extinguish or turn off then you will turn off ignition switch wait 5 seconds then try starting vechicle if start your theft security failing need let dealership check it out.

The instrument cluster in this van is really a computer display and it has malfunctioned. This is a common complaint on this van and you must remove the cluster and have it rebuilt to cure the problems. Check the WEB for repair sources. They can also provide complete instructions on removal free of charge.

Smart lock? do you have a picture of a red hand on instrument panel? With falcons quite common. Turn & hold key @ start posision, Hit dash upwards on left side of steering colum, If start = faulty smart lock module. I don't know if expodition has smart lock but probably does

i have 2000 deawoo nubira which has the power light blinking and sometimes the hold light on the dash too .
it has resulted in hard and noisy gear changing and shifting .
i change the tcm but to no avail .
help please

The click under dash is just a relay. sounds like starter solenoid quit working.

Starts for five seconds or less then dies? Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY or has a picture of a car with a padlock thru it? If so, this link will help you out. If no lights illuminated on dash, repost for further help.
