depending on your carrier Sim cards only carry tel#,names of your contact and other data about your cell and you.......not text message...... a memory card (can store your message) and your carrier do keep all text for a limited time (in/out) ...... if its a legal matter (or building up to be) call your carrier tell them to print out the message (s) give them the date/time and number its coming from
I can get pictures off of the original phone. but not messages. I know how to transfer photos to the new phone, but you have to text message them to yourself. obviously, unless you have unlimited pix and data, this will cost you alot on your next bill.
to transfer pictures off of the original phone: purchase Datapilot install it hook your phone to your computer with a USB cable (doesn't have to be a susteen, datapilot, or verizon cable, this can be any cable. transfer your photos.
You can save the text messages into the computer using the software from Motorola. Motorola Phone Tools allow you to transfer all the information between the cellphone and the computer. You can get it from store.motorola.com Also remmber that you are not gonna be able to save text messages or contacts information in a memory card. The memory card allow you to transfer just Multimedia stuff as music pictures or videos. Good luck
