Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
It seems as though my hard drive kicked the bucket but i just wanted an expert opinion. As soon as I turn it on it runs great up to the piont were it auto signs in and has to actualy read from the hard drive. At this particular point it freezes continuasly, every now and again it will sign me in but still freezes as soon as it comes up. There are no error messages nor are there any red lights. I attempted to just let it sit on that screen thinking that it possibly needed time to load but still got nothing. I still have the warranty on it and probably could exchange it or send it in but i'm afraid i'll lose all of the things that i purchased. So hopfully you can give me good news and i can salvage my baby.
You might have to go delete some stuff in your harddrive. including demos you havent released. i find that microsoft saved games and files corrupt easily over time, and can cause some wayward things to go on. i had this and it drove me INSANE. but i figured if i deleted some stuff, maybe it would help instead of smashing this box with a sledge hammer and converting over to PC gaming, which i am anyways. pick your files you wanna delete carefully. good luck man.

Well you can try downloading all of the info from your xbox to a couple of the microsoft flash drives. but you said that the autosign in was seeming to make it freeze. if you have the chance, make it so the xbox DOESNT auto sign in. ive heard of a thing that you can get done to your harddrive that transfers ALL of the data from one drive to the next. call microsoft customer service and ask about it. if they arent aware of it, you can try deleting some things off the hard drive because it might be full.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
