Sram check error on Ncard

We purchased an Ncard and have nothing but problems getting the games to work after you save some of them. Some games come up with different errors or corrupt data messages. After we delete the save games and Dsystem folder it will work fine again until you save. Please help. I have a n Fcard i put games on it and when i click on to play them it comes up the sram check error . Do i have a dud or is it fixable??? When I switch on DS my other Fcards say "Fcard" but this one says "DS Fireline".

Please advise.

You have a minor problem

i also fix my problem by seeing this website
http://www.buy4ds.co.uk/how_to_use_ncard.php

When you bought the firecard, did you also recieve the firecard adaptor, which plugs into the other DS slot, and a USB cord to link the DS to your PC?
If you do not have these things, there is nothing that can be done to fix your card.
If you buy another N-card/Firecard from a proper seller(costing about $25/£14)you'll get these things included, then you can have 2 working cards.

ask me if any problem

Hi,

The N-Card (NAND Card) as a Nintendo DS storage device was cloned by several manufactures; DS Fire Card, K6, MK5, Ultra N-Card, DS Linker, F-Card, and many more. All clones can run the original N-Card firmware.

Most errors could be corrected by upgrading the firmware. Procedures and additional insights as well as links to sources may be viewed in this page likewise from this site.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

You have the wrong card, go to the store again and take the DS and ask them for the correct card.
Hope this is helpful

Controller Pak Abnormality???

Sorry evilpacman, but you're wrong.

The N64 Controller Pak does indeed have SRAM as you state, but SRAM _does_ require a battery to retain its contents. The battery in question is a standard CR2032 or "coin-cell". The only gotcha is that it is a PCB mount variety, with the legs already attached to the battery casing. I'm currently looking for a replacement myself... farnell may have them but I need to check the footprint...

Ncard

This deffect can only be solved at all soldering the SRAM chip again using hot air soldering.
Try to use a piece of thick paper over the SRAM chip to keep it in contact with the circuit board when inserted in the slot. But that is a temporary measure. In case you can have replace or refund use it.

Ndsl n-card

For the M3Lite The save files on the Card take up very little space, i'd just leave them there, but they should be located in "\NDSSAVE" directory of the flash card (CF, SD, Mini SD, MicroSD).

First, insert the flash card in to your computer. You should double click "My Computer" and locate the drive with your flash card. Double click the drive and you should see a "NDSSAVE" directory (for Nintendo DS games, aka NDS) and possibly a "GAMESAVE" direcotry (for Gameboy Advance aka GBA) saves.

if you right click the directory you should see a pop-up menu, from that menu click "Copy". Then Right click on your desktop (or wherever you want the files) and another popup menu should appear (click paste).

If anything you should worry about the actual games taking up too much space. You can delete the games and the save files should just stay on the card (which, again, are small).

It may be a little different with the ncard though

ERROR: DATA IS NOT ALIGN 16!

I've never used n-card before, but possibly checking the card for errors will help.

- connect it to your computer and open its properties window. (right-click -> properties...)

- go to the "tools" tab and select "check for errors" ...or something like that. This may take a while.

If you still get problems and you can't find a solution, you should probably get a different card. The most reliable card you can buy is the CycloDS Evolution card, however, it doesn't have preloaded games so you'll have to find and download the games yourself.

good luck! =D
