It seems like a failed picture message is jamming up my outbox. I've deleted the message but the outbox icon is constantly on trying to send it. As a result any other message I try to send is stacked in the outbox waiting for the first one to finish but it never does. Is there a way to reset the phone somehow to clear this problem up?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Usually this means the text Inbox/Outbox is full, once you delete them it should go away. You can have 500 text messages total on your reserved memory. Once you reach 500 you get the flashing mail icon and it saves texts to the smartchip (which holds 30 extra texts) and you won't be able to send a normal sms message, it will make you send a mms slide. Delete your messages, and that should fix it. Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask :)
its usually because your phone crashed when you were sending a text. If you delete the whole of your inbox, there should be one message that says delete failed, you need to cancel sending the message, then move it to drafts you might have to turn your phone off in between this process, then try to delete it from your drafts, it should say delete failed, so turn your phone off and on again, then you should be able to delete it out of your drafts and you then shoulde be able to send messages
Had a similar problem myself (Sony Ericsson W890i) - just a plain old SMS message got 'queued' in the outbox, and all further messages I tried to send got sent to the outbox too without ever being sent.
What I did was delete all the messages that I could from the outbox (5 out of the 6 which had been 'queued'), and the one remaining message that I could not delete I cancelled, sent it to the Drafts folder, and then Saved it (to the SIM). I then switched off the phone, took out the SIM card, put it in my old Sony Ericsson handset, switched that on, went to the Messages folder and deleted this one troublesome SMS message from the 'Saved' sub folder. Replaced the SIM in my current handset, and sending messages thereafter was no problem. Hope it works for you too!
highlight the message in your inbox and press menu. You should have the option to unlock. Select that. tHen you should be able to delete them.
As far as your voicemail...
Call and leave yourself a message and then delete it. This will cause the voicemail system to send a message to your phone to remove the icon.
ok so i was looking into things for this problem..and it seems to be verrrry simple. The KE970 only supports 300 in/outbox messages b4 i deletes the next oldest 1 wen u receive/send. So the simple fix is....delete some text messages or just ignore the red message icon.(from wat i can tell all the red message icon is to warn u that ur messaging is full on ur internal phone slots/memory) Hope this helps -Jonathan MacInnis
Go in to the Outbox, click on the message, if it has a red arrow on the envelope icon then the message has sent. For more info click "Read" message then on the centre menu bar go down to Message status, this will tell you if it's sent and what time, etc. There isn't a 'sent' box.
