Panasonic Portable Stereo CD System RX-DS25

This portable CD/radio/cassette has barely audible FM although it will tune
normally. Its aerial connections are fine. The CD and Tape sections are also
fine.
Does anyone have experience with these sets or similar who could point me in
the right direction.

Thanks for your reply

I checked the 5v supply to the demodulator section. L6 in series with this
supply was open circuit. It's a tubular type marked Brown Black Brown. I
make this 100 micro-henry. I changed it and its associated 100/10v
electrolytic and all is well.

You may have a cold solder on the grounds or an electrolytic capacitor, causing
an extremely low voltage to be passed through the demodulator section.
You may also need to check to see if the electrolytic capacitors are leaky.

Other possibilities may be a dirty mode switch or dirty FM switch and/or
controls.
Also advise to check tape section to see if it records FM or AM band at proper
volume.
