Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I can't connect to xbox live, was ok 2 hours ago now won't connect. Internet is ok etc. I have tried all the usual solutions is this a live issue?

if you've done a power cycle on both your router and modem, your internet is active and your online gold membership is active, it may just be a problem with the live, very rare and I've never seen it myself
also try unplugging the wireless off the xbox for bout a minute, maybe have to go into network settings and "automatically set new IP address" good luck

My Netgear adsl router is not getting connected to Internet in pppOe mode ..

POPE configuration is logs into your ADSL system and connects to your ISP provider server to link , so one of the reason why it dosent is due to either password and username not correct. Log unto IP address of your Router and go to WAN configuration , Check your username and password and reset to the initial password and username your ISP provider gave you , when you signed up with them. Then apply changes , off your router for 1 min and then power it , then wait for the ADSL light on the router to be stable , connect to the IP address of your router again and "Volla" , it should be fine , if not , contact your ISP provider....

Hi,
Do you have a computer with wireless connectivity?
if yes then there is something that u should try first/
Enable internet connection sharing on that computer and connect it via ethernet cable to your xbox
and assing the ip address manually, the default gateway would be the ip address of the computer
if you are able to connect via this method then you need to speak to your ISP

2wire 2701hgv-w router

This would be based on the ISP you have signed up in NZ. If the ISP has MAC address identification, then you would have to clone the MAC address on your router. Else, you would have to just run the set up in the router. That should take care of setting up the internet. I would suggest to call the ISP and ask them if they can help you .
As for wireless, i dont think any change is needed.
Thanks

most entry level wifi routers need to restarted ocassionally...it oftentimes hang. Sometimes even with an IP address from the router it won't connect to the internet due to it's tendency to hang... I put an AC timer and set it to switch it off and on regularly. hope this helps..and pls come back for the feedback. Thanks!

you do have an account with an isp yeah? eg BT, Tiscali, Sky, etc etc having a wireless router does not in itself get you onto the net... if you have an isp already thats cool but is the router you have a broadband modem too? or does it need to connect to your existing modem? the reason I ask is DNS is dial up networking service and one of the reasons a DNS would not be found is if there simply was not one to be found
