2 x nc6400 (both are 8 months old )is not charging. recently both of my nc6400 were upgraded to 64bit vista ultimate. charging sometime is on and other time is off . even when it is not fully charged. ( exemple 45%. )

A solution to that is to install Windows Vista Ultimate on top of your old vista installation. Just insert your Vista DVD and restart your computer. And simply follow the instructions for the installation.

You need to install windows 7 (32 bit) not 64. To change to 64 you have to make internal changes and updates to your notebook. Your notebook is set up for 32 bit systems.

Dell studio exchange over but upgraded? Hi i recently got upgraded with dell to better laptop specs etc, but same laptop from dell, i have a question with the current image i made on win 7 i have now....


you can install a 32bit image on the laptop and then restore the image you have, but you will NOT be able to activate a 32bit o/s with the 64bit product key

your RAm size is up to 1Gb
processing speed is a minimum of 1.68 centrino or pentium 4
