Open Device Manager, Uninstall the Graphic Card and driver, reboot the machine, allow Windows 7 to apply the generic driver, Open Windows Updates and run. OR, open Device Manager, display adapter, update Graphics adapter. OR, Use the eMachine windows vista 64 bit drivers. Download the Windows Vista 64bit driver and Save , open Properties, change compatibility to Windows 7. Computer freezes / locks up after running a while,

Sounds like it's overheating. Check to make sure your graphics card cooling fan and CPU cooling fan are working. If they are add some case fans. Get a can of compressed air and clean out all the vents and fans. You can also use a vacuum with a hose attachment to clean it.

RS-25 & RS-27 Foot Pedal not working with Vista x64

I had the exact same problem. Per Olympus you have to buy the RS 27 foot pedal. It IS compatible with Vista 64bit. RS 25 which is what I have IS NOT compatible with Vista 64bit.
Cheapest I found online is $43+ shipping for RS 27 foot pedal.
There is a free upgrade to DSS Player 7 on Olympus website that you will have to do for it to work with RS 27 foot pedal.

Hello. I am running vista home ultimate 64bit. Manually I am unable to create a restore point. Error message 0x8004230F unexpected error for shadow copy provider. I have check in the computer management...

Sometimes, Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit will not allow to create a restore point as it is self scheduled to create its own restore system restore points.

To over-come this: turn the system off, press the on button and keep pressing the F8 button to get into Safe Mode. Once you are in Safe Mode, go to the System Restore and then create a Restore Point. Once you have done this, shut down and restart the system, you will then see your restore point that you have created.

Hope this helps

you may find the upgrade in add/remove programmes, but you will have to look in the manual to see if there is a backed up file on a seperate partition on your pc, or restore the system to a back up you have done yourself originally

Every time i restart my computer on the black boot screen it gives me an option to start windows vista or enter windows vista setup i recently tried to upgrade to vista ultimate and it didnt work now its...

Do you have any important files that you want to keep?

If so, when the boot screen comes up, select to start windows vista and press F8. choose "Safe Mode". copy all of your files to a flash drive or burn them to a disk.

If not, insert your vista DVD and have your BIOS boot from it.
then it will ask you to do an upgrade or clean install; do a clean install.

Do not interrupt the installation until it finishes.
If you made any backups, now is the time to copy them to your computer.
