My Black & Decker cordless electric lawn mower sat unused for a summer, and now it won't start. The green light on the charger illuminates.
I have the same mower CMM1200. Had same issue. Mine was because safety key wasn't making solid contact. That also started to ruin the Lifepo4 batteries I switched over to. Recommend everyone do the same, much better battery. Would also cause the positive lead to get WAY TOO HOT and ruin the cells. I finally just bypassed the key and soldered the wires together inside the mechanism. Made sure every crimped only connection was also a solid connection by flowing solder through all of them. Finally fixed the problem. Probably you've found a solution or have moved on to a different mower, but thought I would add my 2 cents.
Hi Sandi-
This could be an issue with the battery itself or charger. The best way to know is to have the battery tested. You can follow the link to locate your nearest service center to have them tested.
Thanks
