I have just installed this onto my new computer which operates on Windows Vista. The installation and registration were successful, but each time I try to open the programme, the following message appears:
'NT users should Logon with Administration Rights and run this application again. If problems persist, please restart your machine'
What does this mean? (I am still relatively inexperienced in computers).

My computer only has USB ports. Can you recommend a Serial (nine pin) to USB converter cable that will work with the Professional Sew Ware™ 2.00a?
We have found that the PSW works best on newer computers when the USB serial adapter cable has not only compatible drivers for the Windows operating system but also a FTDI chip. We have found this FTDI chip in the cable which is listed below: CUSB-232A available from Computerplug.com and Cablesalesusa.com. Any USB to serial adapter with an FTDI chip will work. These cables will work for Windows XP, VISTA, and 7.
It Took Me About 40 min. to figure it out 1. install master cook 6.0 2. open sierra on c drive c:\sierra\mastercook6\program 3. delete msvcp.dll file mastercook 6.0 will now run there will be no cookbooks 1. goto file\open add it will list all the cookbooks 2. open each one and then everything works as normal
If you are beyond 98, there is a good chance that windows 2000, ME, XP, Vista will not run it because there is a .dll or other file missing. If you have a newer computer and you want to run older software, you have to run it in "compatability" mode. This process is doable but you will have to do the footwork in the "HELP" section of your current computer. The process is too lengthly to set forth here.
Thank you for your question and good luck with your project.
No it looks like they stopped the support at the old one, this means they did'nt make any drivers for the old one to function on vista. Vista uses a very diferent driver model than xp does. The drivers for xp won't work in any way on vista.
Normally with a digital camera there is a cd following with the purchase !
You need to put the cd in the cd/dvd drive and "install" the software. After that you should bee able to see the picture taken with the digital camera.
Normally you inport the pictures to the computer and then you can see them. For inport the picture you need a cable that normally follow with the purchase, if not then you need to buy one cable compatibel to your digital camera. The cable you put in the computer and then in then camera on the other end.
hi there. mastercook 6 runs on older windows versions like win95, win98 and win Millenium Edition only, newer are not supported.sorry
MasterCook deluxe 9.0 supports win2000, XP and VISTA, but this would mean spending another 19.99 on amazon.
you could try to install the 6.0 version on an older machine that still has win98 on it or think about setting up a multi-boot system (u need some computer expertise)so you can install multiple operation systems on your laptop, but this takes a lot of effort and all the drivers for your computer for win98, so spend of whatever you have more of, time or money...
