Question about Cell Phones
The mobile phone number entry in the My Name Card entry within Contacts is not updating on my new Sprint SPH-M520 by Samsung mobile phone. The phone was hard reset before activation, and activated properly, but there is an incorrect phone number entry still showing in this field. This number is not user editable, and neither me nor Sprint tech support could find any way to update it manually by going into any configuration mode. Sprint tech support doesn't know what to do. They thought the network sent this information to the phone, but the network is showing that everything has been provisioned properly. Has anyone had this problem? Any fix?
Bro..if you can, you have to go repair store for software flash by computer.. thank you. :)

When the new person takes over the phone, they put their new sim card in which contains the new phone number. That will then change any phone number currently in the device.

If you have ported the number assigned to this phone from Sprint to ATT, the phone is no longer usable with your number. New owner will have to call Sprint and get another assigned, which they can do over the air.

The device needs a hard-reset to refresh reset expectations back to factory defaults, so make sure you have all your data backed up (contacts, music, pictures, video, etc).
You will then need to manually program the phone, which you can receive all this information through Sprint Technical Support.
Explain to technical support that your "phone info" displays your old # and is not recognizing your new #. This process can be very easy to fix. Call this number 1-877-345-7895. Hope this helps.
