Question about Honeywell L4064B2236 Fan/Limit Control Heater

Honeywell manual fan switch broken

I believe I have a Honeywell L4064B2236 Fan/Limit Control. It has a white "manual fan on" switch on the bottom right of the switch which broke off. I was wondering if any other way to operate that switch without that plastic piece. Possibly use something else in it's place....the only thing is I'm not sure how the internal make up of the switch is so I'm not going to go and stick a flat head screw driver in there or anything. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.

The fan limit switch is basically like a thermostat. When the plenum heats up to a certain degree it turns on the fan to start heating your house, and turns off when the fan off when the plenum gets around 80-90 degrees so that you’re not pumping cold air in to house. It also acts as a safety switch if the fan does not come on the plenum will get way to hot so this fan limit will kick the furnace off before that happens. As far as that little white button it should always be on auto you can try to use needle nose pliers to get it back into the auto position, or if you have the broken piece you can try to glue it back on. The white button goes in and out it does not turn or anything just make sure you turn the power off first and if u can’t fix it replace.

We have a newmac wood furnace with a honey well fan limit control. It cuts in but will not cut out.

if it is the fan that wont cut off, make sure the manual over ride button,(white push/pull) is in the auto position.if the burner will not cut off then the spring on the control is failing and the control should be replaced.control can be found online or at most heating supply companies.

How does a honeywell L4064b2236 work? It is set up on a Gas hot air furnace with the jumper removed, Three wire connection, black to common white to fan and red to limit. The furnace has a tranformer on...

If the jumper has been removed, then the control is working in the low voltage circuit. Black should be 120v in, White the 120 going out to the fan, and the red or limit wire is (should be) in the low voltage control circuit. Have you looked at the wiring diagram for the F and L Control? If not I will provide a link for you. https://customer.honeywell.com/techlit/pdf/69-0000s/69-0117.pdf

Hope this helps
