You may find the article How To Use a Webcam helpful as it describes how to use your webcam for taking pictures, recording videos, and video chat. It recommends several free software tools, and provides links where you can download them.
you will need a messenger program on your computer something like yahoo messenger or skype to activate your webcam
or you can use adult sites using webcams but you will have to pay to use these sites
You can also use Internet Explorer to test if your webcam works with Yahoo! Messenger? using the link given below. Open the link given below after connecting the webcam to the Computer and turning it ON:
You should be able to use any webcam software. Webcam hardware is not typically linked to the software. I use my own webcam (Logitech) with Yahoo! IM, Skype and Windows Live using the native drivers that came with the webcam. That said, there may be a Microsoft version that works better with Windows Live in conjunction with your vx1000.
Have you checked the recording settings in Windows and in Skype? Try changing the default recording device to specifically indicate the device that has your headset plugged. I think the webcam also has a mic and that should not be selected.
Other thing to check is if there is some kind of resource conflict between your USB controller and audio card (use Device Manager).
