The system comments that this is not a usb 2 device

first thing is that message just means that your device will work at a reduced speed
second is that a high speed port or enhanced usb port is required to work it at enhanced speeds
to check if your usb port is enhanced goto : control panel / system properties / hardware tab / device mannager / then scroll down to usb controllers and see if it says enhanced next to your usb port if it does then you will need to get the updated usb driver for the enhanced speed

I had the same problem. I went to my Device Manager and checked the port setting for my cable. I reset the port in advanced properties and I was then able to do a transfer. I still have a yellow flag on my cable and get the error 10 but for some reason it did the transfer???

Y-Modem file transfer aborts

Otie, Is this the only unit having trouble? Have you checked your firewall settings? Not knowing the error messege I will just throw my 2 cents in... Have there been any updates to the XP Pro? Has there been any ProComm updates that may have affected the machine. You may need to reset and reconfigure the modem. There could even be some kind of interference at the Telco Office. Just some thoughts, Tim
