I have a Palm V.

I have a Palm V. I noticed a smudge on the screen, so I rubbed it off. When I tried to turn on my Palm, the screen briefly flashes and goes dark. I must have done something when I cleaned the smudge, but don't know how to fix it so the palm works again.
