Re: Kenmore Oasis washer LD
You need to pull the machine out and tilt it back to look at the pump on the right side. Need to remove carefully using a trash bag to contain the water. Then to examine for debris in the impeller. The second part is too remove the washplate by popping the center cover and removing the 7/16 bolt. Then to grasp the basket and lift sharply on it to pop out the washplate enough to remove. In the center you will see some phillips screws to remove, not the position of the pieces and line them up for reference. Next notice the tabs attaching the tub ring to the tub and remove the tub ring after loosing the recirculate hose clipped at the left rear corner. No with some patience the basket will lift out allowing access to a cover held in by two screws. You want to remove and inspect for debris and soda change.

Error code LD means long drain. This error appears when the washer takes more than 5 minutes to pump out the water till point where pressure switch resets. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. Hope this helps... Please post back for more information.
The LD stands for Long Drain and it flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on. Check to see if the drain hose or drain pump is clogged or is the drain hose situated too high.
Pressure Switch failure - remove the hose at the top of the machine, and blow in it to clear moisture/buildup. If not - replace the Pressure switch.
LD = LONG DRAIN
"F21" (AKA SD) is a Long (SLOW) Drain error (LD). If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:
1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2. 2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged. 3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running. 4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris. Long Drain Ld flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on. Is the drain hose clogged? Is the drain hose height greater than 96′? Is the pump running? If not, see TEST #7, page 13.
LD means long drain. Check to see if there is something clogging your drain hose. If not remove the drain pump from the bottom of the washer tub and clean it out. Also clean the recirculating pump. That should fix it. if not replace the drain pump.
