You can view a PDF of the old owners manual for this model on the GE website. The manual states 750 watts.

SOURCE: how to replace a broken handle

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Does GE make a 1650 watt microwave oven?

The highest wattage GE microwave sold to consumers seems to be 1200W. See http://www.geappliances.com/ge/microwave-oven.htm . That's the rated microwave power. The power draw from the outlet on this type of microwave is 1650W. See the Profile series 2.2 cu. ft capacity microwaves, like the PES7227DLBB, http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/PES7227DLBB

I hope this helps.

GE model JE2160BF03 no power. Blown fuse.

They are put out when something metal is put inside and cooked for a few min. They are also put out with power surge. It protects your mag tube. Plus they just go bad sometimes. Could be a number of reasons but these are the most common.

GE Microwave stops running

Mostly with GE I find this to be bad connections at the fuse holder or a bad fuse due to a bad fuse holder. It will break connection and reset the unit when the connection gets hot and expands and then opens and stops power from getting to the unit.

No power to microwave, changed fuse but still nothing!

There is an internal fuse and internal TCOs (thermal cutouts / thermostats) any of which can interrupt the power to the unit.

Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

My Ge SpaceMaker XL1800 Microwave Oven won't power on any more.

1.Check power outlet for working.
2.If it is than you have broken fuse inside the m/w.
3. To change the fuse you have to disconnect the power to m/w, take the upper grill off, take the screw on top of control panel, lift the control panel up and removed. The 20 Am fuse located behind this panel.

GE Microwave - Power Cord Appears to be Dead

Most microwave ovens are equipped with an internal fuse. This is typically located where the power cord enters the cabinet. The cabinet will have to be opened to verify the fuse.

The magnetron is not directly attached to the power source, it has to be stepped up in voltage significantly, either through a transformer or inverter.

It is usually best to have professional tech check the fuse for operation. Most shops will do this for a small fee if you drop the unit off yourself.

GE Spacesaver doesn't heat

if you are as lucky as i was...i have a ge spacesaver model jvm130...same problem. first unplug unit and check fuse on the "power control module". if fuse is ok...unscrew the screws holding the "power control module" in place...carefully tilt module and see if a solder joint needs to be re-soldered. my problem was the solder joint under the front plug (5 large wire plug). you may have to unplug the three connectors to the board to get access to bottom. this is the second time i had to re-solder...last one was several years ago though. best of luck tennisrme
