Hi.

Maybe you don't have the drivers for the hardware your pc recognize
hence it does not do anything.
Download this.

http://rapidshare.com/files/149632922/Driver_Scanner.rar

This will update your drivers and find a driver for your hardware.
Make sure the hardware is connected while you run this application.

Hope this helps

Regards
Faraz

What version of windows are you running? When you connect the ipod to your computer, windows should recognize new hardware. Try connecting it to a usb port after you have booted up.

My mouse is not being detected by my e-machines PC after I disconnected it. I have windows XP. What could be the problem?

If you restart any computer without mouse or keyboard connected and then if you connect after loading the operating system, it will never recognize these hardwares as you connect. You have to connect them first and restart again to make it recognized by windows operating system. I hope this will give you some ideas what to do with this problem.

Driver installation is when you are trying to connect other hardware and your computer needs that hardware to recognize it and to have full access of it.

400GB Freecom external hard drive stops functioning itself.

I assume you are running windows operating system. You need to uninstall all your usb devices. Go to computer manager/device manager and select all USB devices and unistall them. Go to the start menu, click on run type compmgmt.msc. Find all your USB devices on the right side. Follow the instructions for each device to uninstall them by double clicking and then select uninstall. once you uninstall, click on the icon to scan for hardware changes located on the sub menu. Your operating system should recognize new hardware or reboot and the operating system should install them automatically again. After you reboot, logon do not connect the harddrive until you are logged in completely. The operating system should recognize a new device and install it automatically. I hope it helps.

GMA 4082n device driver not working properly code 39

First go into Setup (usually F1,F2 or del) at start-up. See if your drives show up there. With Windows running, right click My Computer, left click Properties, left click Hardware, left click Device Manager, left click DVD/CD-ROM drives. Also check IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Do the drives show up there? If they do right click on drive and left click Update Driver. If they are not there go back to System Properties and left click on Add Hardware Wizard. This will search for devices. It may ask you to insert Windows CD which of course you can not do because the drives don't work. Try a different drive. When you cleaned out your computer did you delete or uninstall Office? That may be what caused this problem. None of this may work but it is a starting point.

Dvd / cd rom not recognized on my computer list

1) Go to Control Panel. Open the System Icon.
2( Click on Hardware Tab, then click on Device Manager.
3) The device manager will list all of your hardware that is on your computer. If you see a yellow? mark oryellow ! mark next to your DVD/CD rom drive, simply click on it then click Repair. It also may tell you that it is not recognozied. Follow the directions.
4) If you do not see this in your Device Manager go to Add Hardware in your Control Panel which is next to your Add/Remove Programs icon. Click on Add Hardware and it will scan for all hardware.
** This should take care of your problem. If not then somehow the actual connection in your tower has come loose. If so you must open your tower and look for a loose wire going to your DVD/CD rom drive.
*** Please let me know if this corrects your problem.Simply email me(Phil) at: philw19642002@yahoo.com
