Hello there, I have a simple question related to the RS/6000 42T machine i got from my company yesterday (they bought new servers). I want to run on this machine Linux instead of IBM AIX. Is it possible. I??ve read that the 42T uses MCA. Makes ist impossible to use linuxppc or another distribution.
What about Debian? I??ve heard that they support MCA.
My comment was solely about how a given text looks when displayd in a window or terminal. The problem with spaces before question marks is that it might cause the question mark to appear in the next line when lines are re-wrapped.
I do not know whether one typically puts a space before a question mark in German or not (althaugh I live in Berlin), but I do know that a text with spaces before question marks can be hard to read.
For example, take the above paragraph, formatted with spaces after last words:

Copy the text in a resizeable window (a newsreader or text editor or something like that) and reduce the size of the window so that the line with containing "altaugh I live in Berlin" is wrapped exactly after the ")", and you will see what I mean.

Hi,
To continue on the off-topic (sorry too... ;-)), the fact that Sebastian put a space before the '?' is probably because typographic rules vary from one language to another: for example, in french we put a space before '!', '?', ':' and ';', and (afaik) not in english. I think i remember that german typographic rules are quite like the french ones...
I have to say that's hard for me to think about omitting the space when writing English :)

Your English fine. I meant that you should put the question mark immidiately behind the last word of the sentence, not after a space.
You see, when you look at the text in a smaller window the lines will be wrapped and new lines will begin with new words, like this:

If you put a space between a last word and a question mark, the question mark might appear at the beginning of the next line, like this:
What could happen ?
What could happen ?
But it should be like this:
What could happen?
What could happen?

P.S.: This is highly off-topic, sorry. I just wanted to make it clear that my comment was not at all directed at the poster's English. My intention was not to insult someone.
