Ipod cannot be seen on a computer

You may try these methods.
1. Try another USB cord or USB cable.
2. Restrart your computer for a try.
3. Reset or restore your iPod for a try, this way can fix many general iPod problems.
4. Update your iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
5. You may try this iPod transfer, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you upload music and video to iPod, I always use it to sync my iPod when my iTunes can't recognize my iPod, it's easy to use and works pretty well

If you want to hook it up to windows,..

go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Then restart your computer and hook the ipod to the computer..

it should now be recognized and start itunes, which will allow you to transfer music on and off the ipod

Why is my computer not reading my ipod

be careful, you may lose all your data. i have lost all my videos and music last month. so i think you should backup your music/videos to your PC before itunes not work or other
emergency incidents, to prevent important data loss.

I recommend u Daniusoft iTransfer. many of my friends are using this product. it can help u to transfer music /videos from iPod/iPhone to your computer and backup them. then you
dont have to worry about data loss.

1. Reset or restore your iPod for a try, this can fix many general iPod problems. 2. You may try this iTunes alternative, I always use it to upload music and video to my iPod once my iTunes can't recognize my iPod, my friends recommend it to me, it's safe and works pretty well, you can also use it to copy music and video from ipod to computer for backup, it's useful when you lost your iTunes library. http://www.ipod-transfer-copy.com/ipod-iphone-to-computer-transfer-cucusoft.html

My Computer and iTunes does not recognize my iPod

Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". This will completely reset your ipod, hopefully fixing any bugs or problems in it. also, you will lose all data saved on the ipod that isn't also backed up by itunes. Music, pictures, and video can be re-synced.

Ipod not recognized by computer or itunes

I struggled with this issue for a while and finally found a post that helped me. Hold menu and the center buttons until the iPod turns off. Then, immediately hold the left and center buttons to pull up the iPod diagnostic menu. Scroll down to the option "Reset" and select it. My iPod was finally recognized by iTunes. Good luck :)
