We have a idle problem when using our lift gate. It starts but when we use the lift gate it stalls out. It's like it idles way to low. It is hard to start sometimes, though. We have done a complete tuneup and just recently had new heads put in. It is a rebuilt motor with only 17,000 miles on it. We also have a problem while driving sometimes you can have the pedal all the way to the floor and it wont accelerate. Other times it does ok. When the acceleration problem happens the check engine light usually comes on. Can you give me any advice on what I'm looking at.
Your dip stick tube is your fill tube for your transmission . Make sure your transmission oil is at opperating temp before servicing some instructions are written on the dip stick , Use a small funnel , Add a little at a time (cup). Use the proper fluid , check regularly

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.
SOURCE: engine starts but low power during acceleration
it look like a mass air flow sensor the sensor that goes in the air filter usual sentra symtom no power stall when realesing the gas pedal pierre p.s go to a wreaker scrap yard bye the piece it will work

Timing is not adjustable. You do however need to turn the distributor to set the cam/crank correlation to keep the check engine light off. Although you need to hook it to a scanner to be able to set this.

sounds like a large vacuum hose was knocked off the engine when they pulled the trans out, have that checked.
