Question about EMTEC Magnetics Group C210 (2 GB) MP3 Player

Open Question

How do I open my mp3 player?

Ok, so I have this huge problem: I bought a few months ago an emtec mp3 player, 1 GB capacity, I put music on it, it worked for a period, an then, it crashed, suddenly, with no notification. I mean: it doesn't open, my compputer sometimes recognizes it, sometimes doesn't, I cannot copy music files or any other kind of files in it. The worst part is: I managed to open it, but it only shows the label, emtec, and it stands like this for days. So, how do I make it work, play the music files, and do what it is supposed to do. I think it's an C210 model.
Oh, and how do I remove the write protection?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: emtec mp3 player won't turn on

Hello,

This is a simple flash Mp3 player, I went on the manufacturers website..they do not have any firmware for either the C215 or the C210. So if you installed firmware to it, its possibly you installed the incorrect software on the unit. Most firmware restores the actual information such as the menu and playback options for your music. The biggest issue you have to look at is the device not turning on when its disconnected from the computer, I would check the battery..and then hold in the Play button for about 5 seconds, if nothing comes up, then your probably right, you just have a flash drive. You might contact the manufacturer and see if they can email you the firmware (if available).

Just bought this mp3 player and it will not turn on unless its plugged into the computer/charger.. No music and never been used till I opened it. Please Help!!!

The new player needs to be charged overnight for the player will work on the battery. You may need to do this a few times after the battery runs down.

MP3/CD

There are some free services out there, but they are illegal. I do not find them cost effective - the main advantage is that the music can be carried anywhere without hauling cd's or changing discs.
