Since this type is not made you need to have a similar rating battery as the replacement to your portable set. The only problem can be the size of the battery which needs to accommodate the amperage.
So please flow the tips : First Option: take four 1.2V/1500mAh cells and connect them in parallel.It gives a rating of 1.2 V/6000mAh.
Now make three sets of the same type and connect in series with the correct polarity so that you have a net total battery potential of 3.6 V/ 6000mAh.
This will work well to compensate your faulty battery, use good quality rechargeable cells (Li-ion)
Second Option : use a regulator with a regular type 6 volt/2Ah Li-ion type battery - universal type - that can be used with a voltage regulator to give the same rating.
Only thing is that you will need some help with soldering the battery or fixing the regulator.
Third option : get the nearest type battery available for camcorders and portable units to be adapted in the same manner.

The replacement batter for this particular model of Cyberhome portable DVD player is a scarce commodity. If we stayed in the same vicinity, I would have looked for one for you.
But I would suggest you contact Cyberhome via phone or e-mail and request for the battery replacement. They might send it to you or direct you to a dealer where you can purchase the battery.
