Re: install memory slot
Try to look for the memory slot in the psp, turn your psp at backside facing you, then at the right side corner you will see mark 'magicgate' then open it.
insert the card where the the brand or logo name is in front of you and the breakoff side will insert first..

Try your memory card in another PSP. If you see the games on another psp then that means your memory slot is bad on the psp and the main board would have to be replaced. If you don't see the games on your memory card on another psp then that means the memory card is bad and you'll have to replace the memory card.
you must have to clean the memory stick slot connector or could be a cracked solder point in the slot pin conectors...it´s internal...you will need to disassemble it...try to test another memory stick...
if you've tried multiple working memory cards in your psp the memory slot is probably bad. One thing you can try though, go ahead and blow some air into the slot just to make sure theres not dirt or dust that is inside of the slot.
If you do that and it still won't read memory cards then the memory card slot is bad.
the first solution
1.Send your psp to Sony they will fix it for you
2.sell your old psp and buy new
You could also find parts and fix it yourself. 3.Buying the part that seems to be needing replacement and installing it yourself is the most cost effective.
have you tried using your memory stick to other units or computer?
1. if its not working it might be damage.
2. but if its working your memory slot in your psp has the problem then look for a technician that could fix your psp slot for memory stick.
i can see that your memory stick and the psp memory slot is not connecting with each other.. hope it help. for more concerns send as a message
if the problem is not the memory stick, then you have a damaged card slot in the psp.
when you insert it on slot, you must make it slowly. if you strongly inserted it, you must have damaged it. or in better cases you have a dirt, faulty contact in slot.
first, look inside the slot, and try to see if the contacts are intact and lined with each other, something like this: | | | | | | | if you see that some of the contact are out of place ( | | | / | | | ), you must take it back in place. the same problem happens with nintendo ds games. if dirt, buy a cleaning kit and clean the contacts.
