Turned on my TV the other day, and it shut off after a few seconds. It wouldn't turn on for a few minutes, and when it did, I got a major convergence issue. I'm told I need a new convergence board - does anybody know where I can get one, and how difficult is it to replace?:
I broke the mother board on my mitsubishi VS-50605 rear projection tv. where can i get a replacement. the board broke off about an inch from the left end.
Replacing the whole board will fix it, but is a bit of overkill. If you can solder and feel comfortable working inside the set, you can fix this yourself. Let me know if you wish to attempt the repair and I'll proviode additional details and instructions.

Dan-
Thanks for the offer - I can solder, and I am comfortable working inside the set.
...what do you recommend, Dan?
Dan-
I'd like to appempt to repair this set. Please provide additional details. Thanks!
Thanks in advance, Dan!
I have a similar problem as others who have written in. When I turned on the set, it would turn off immediately. After several times of turning it on quickly, the set stayed on, but there was seperation of the color images and some distortion on the sides, similar to the picture posted under convergance problems.
I can also perform basic soldering as I am an EE.
We received a mitsubishi vs50603 from a friend who upscaled to one of the newer plasma tvs. We did not receive an instruction manual with it and do not know anything about this tv. When I hooked up a rabbit eared antenna to it all I got was a blue screen and sometimes a faint conversation. The friend told us we needed to reboot it but we do not know how. We do not want to mess the tv up. Please tell us how to get an instruction manual and we can take it from there if this tv is a keeper or a loser. Thank you
can someone tell me how to fix this email is [email protected]
