I have a 2002 mustang and my radio did the same thing. when i went to load or eject it would say cd error or no cd. then when i would select load cd, it would say slots full. i had someone unplug the positive cable on my battery and let it sit for a few hours to reset. then when it was hoooked back up and i started my car, the cd player started working again.

Vw golf 2001 there is no cd changer in the car I get a no disc or no magazine error

Since there are several possibilities for stereos in this vehicle, try pushing the CD button again. That should switch it back to single CD mode. If it still reports no disc, and there's a disc in the drive, it may be time for a new head unit. CD drives in auto's typically only last 3-5 years.

My in-car cdc will not eject the cartridge?.

Press the eject button several times non stop.Like 10 to 15 times non stop and see,if the cartridge is getting ejected out.If its still stuck, then disconnect the car battery negative terminal for 15 minutes then reconnect the negative terminal and heck.If still the cartridge is stuck, then its problem with internal mechanism. You will have to disassemble the unit and manually eject the cartridge out and lubricate internal mechanism.-------------- Unplug the changer and use a flat metal ruler. And slide it alongside the cartridge. try sliding on both sides. You'll eventually trigger the manual switch and it'll pop out.Bif that is also not helping then:--- solution is to disassemble the CD changer and lubricating the mechanisms inside. This is the most common problem with CD changers. Take the unit out of car and try to release disc manually.Take the screws out on both sides of player then remove case . You will be able to manually push the big gear so that the disc goes back into the cartridge. And then it slides out. After that you lube all moving parts with a teflon grease and some parts with silicon spray. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

sounds like the unit is stuck in ship mode
or the loading gear is bad they make click click like 5 times

radio needs to be repair there is no easy fix for this
the other solution is just leave along and trasfer all your cd's to mp3 or ipod

When i change from radio or single disc to the 6 disc changer there is an error it won't read any discs.... It wont even change discs it won't do anything really...

I suspect that your 6 cd changer is having the fault. The error indicates always a system malfunctioning. From our point of view we can probe into for a solution by the following guidelines.
first of all open the 6 Cd changer from the top. look within to find that the changer is jammed inside. If so slowly tapp while you switch on the power. if the jamm clears and the changer ejects, then open out all the cd's present in the changer for any damage due to heat. If this did not solve, clowing chek for foreign particles/dust that has blocked the loading drive.from completing the cycle so as to reset the mode. normally all errors show because of the processor not receiving the complete cycle signals. hence check for all the moving parts, the drives and the loading mechanism. check also for any linkage damge, any leadd specially flexible line wiring to the motors for an open circuit. Slowly turn the motor drive to intiate to confirm if the motor has failed. Altogether use a multimeter and check in all the sections described.
I hope this helps. Good day.

Hello I have a problem with my cd changer unit in my peugoet 307sw. It tries to load the cds but just appears as 'cd2 loading' and does nothing more. You can then try and change cd and it again takes in...

Hi,

The easiest that could be suggested is to "borrow" a CD cleaner similar to those used for CD ROMs of computers. Its purpose is to clean the "lens"/optical reader of the CD changer. The error "loading" indicates that the CD changer recognizes the presence of a CD but for some reason could not continue reading (loading). Other than this, all others would require opening the unit for diagnosis and repairs. The bulk of the work would be removal of the CD changer from its current location, opening the insides to gain access to the laser and the mechanism. This would really require a\n in-shop work. Hence if the cleaning does not prove to be corrective, then your best would be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Have a Blaupunkt AM FM Radio/In-Dash Ch Cgnager (6 stacker) in a 2003 Holden Commodore. After ejecting the 6th one of the CD's succesfully, get "CD Error mech" message and it will not eject the...

We eventually tried loading another CD to fill the one vacant spot we knew was in the changer even though we'd tried that before without success. This time it seems that we fluked it just as it was trying to eject CD 1 again and - somehow - the CD we were tryng to insert must have lifted the rim of the one that was stuck and it suddenly ejected. The remaining 4 CD's that were inside the changer but not even recognised, then started re-loading so it appears that they were all jammed up together. Once they'd reloaded we were able to eject them all successfully then reload.
We're not sure but think that it may have happened when the eject button was originally pressed once to eject CD 6 then, in error, held down for a 'eject all' procedure and the changer has become confused with both instructions.

Error 1 on alpine cha-s364

Quick Note: It's really helpful to your cause if you make sure you include more information about your system and what you're doing to get an error.

It's also a good idea to make sure you type in your model number correctly - you've typed in cha-s364 (the actual model you're talking about "I think" is a CHA-S634 - please verify!!

Here's a link to the user manual

As for the E-01 Error message on your CD Changer:

The E-01 reading is an error message, usually because the changer magazine is jammed in the changer. To manual eject out the magazine, take a thin plastic ruler (at least 5-1/2" in length) and slip it between the bottom of the magazine and the changer. Now, push in. This will hit a release button in the back. If the magazine does not eject, you will need to send the unit in to be serviced. To locate the nearest authorized service center to you call 1-800-ALPINE-1.
Note: if the magazine is half way out, but jammed, DO NOT try to release the magazine. You will need to send the unit in to be serviced by a technician.
