Question about Brother DCP 130C All-In-One InkJet Printer

Brother DCP-135C will not print

Running on windows XP.

This printer is new and worked perfectly fine up until last week. It has now stopped working completely. I have run through the entire troubleshooter to no avail. The printer is visible in the Printer And Faxes part of the CP and is set to online. All the cables are connected etc.

When I try to print a yellow box appears in the bottom right and says something like, 'Document Failed to Print".

Any help would be appreciated.

It is a DCP-135C

1)right click the my computer icon
2)click properties and then click hardware n go to device manager.
3)uninstall all usb ports and then scan for hardware changes
4)ur pc will detect your printer and ask for printer drivers
5)re load drivers and your pc will communicate with your printer
6)for reloding install the cd follow the instructions on the screen and click next
7)restart when the printer is loded.connect the wires and cords properly

Cancel all documents in queue and remove all instances of the printer
disconnect printer and restart the computer

reconnect printer (try another USB port)

BROTHER P-TOUCH IS not printing


It is obvious it has a failed electronic component, since these are not repaired/exchanged except when they are under warranty best thing to do is just replace it.

Prinnter not printing but showing 'put custom in manual tray'


There is still a print job in the queue. Place a sheet so it prints or kill the job.


Open Printers and Faxes. Open printer. Highlight jobs and Right click > Cancel, or Documents > Cancel.
For those stubborn jobs, Right click My Computer > Manage. Choose Services and Applications > Services > Print Spooler. Right click and stop. Then start. This may have to be done from the Print Server if it's network printer. Contact IT to kill.

Laser printer makes light clicking noise when idle


When idle is potentially the fuser unit, after heating and cooling. However the print quality issue associated with the clicking sound could indicate an electrical issue. The HVPS maybe faulty causing the print quality issue (due to dependant parts) and the electrical click. In any case I would recommend calling Brother and finding the nearest authorised service agent.

Samsung kicked out hp 3in 1 printer already installed


Don't have your HP designated as the default printer (if possible)when you hook up the Samsung. When the Samsung is hooked up it sees the HP is the default printer. Well it can't have that, they discard the HP drivers. What does Samsung care about HP drivers theres only one printer port setup and thats the USB port you have them sharing. So yes you need to get a second cable. Tim
