Need nmore info then that. are u saying that the remote control is not working with the tv or are u saying that the controls on the set is not working . ok lets say the remote is not working 99 times the problem is the remote control unit. the best way to find out is. if your tv is a newone 1 -2 years old u could take the remote to best buy and see if it will work on a nother tv set there. if not it is your remote problem solved.if it does work then i could be the sensor but u need a scope to see the rf signal from the sensor i have only change 2 sensers in my 30 years working in electronice service field. let me know marty

I have a Samsung 55in curved TV. It has auto dimming. In the evening with the lights out it dims to where it is difficult to see the picture. Can I get rid of the auto dimming?

If the brightness on your TV changes automatically (randomly dims and brightens), you may need to adjust the:
  • Eco Sensor function.
  • - And / Or -
    • Energy Saving function.
The Eco Sensor and Energy Saving functions adjust the brightness of the TV to reduce power consumption.
    • When you set the Energy Saving function to Auto, the TV changes its brightness automatically depending on what you are watching on the TV.
    • When you set the Eco Sensor to On, the TV changes its brightness automatically depending on the brightness of the room.

This function is not available sign keeps coming on

Sounds like a problem with the remote where a function button on the remote is being pressed for a function which is not on the TV. Could be a fault in the remote or moisture or some other foreign body which has gotten into the remote. Try removing the batteries from the remote or covering the infra red receiver sensor on the TV. Hopefully this will stop it. It may alternatively be some other infra red source which is confusing the TV. The TV generally won't have unavailable functions in its own menu so it's most likely the remote. Hope this helps

Cannot get the remote to function. have tried universal remote and proper code for the tv

Check and make sure there is no dust or anything on the sensor on the television set. Its possible the sensor konked out on you but this happened to be one time and I checked out the sensor and dust had built up tremendously on the sensor dot.

Brand new replacement RM-ED0009 remote will not function. New batteries fitted. Suspect TV fault - advice, please

Hello,

it might be from the TV remote sensor. To confirm this, test the remote with another TV and if the remote works, then it would be obvious that the remote sensor of your TV is dead.

Take care.

Remote will not function with TV

If two remotes do not work. I would say the IR sensor on the front panel of the TV might be defective.
Can you provide an exact TV model number to try to locate an IR sensor part suppier?
