My mum has the same [roblem as this just now and is convinced that it is connected to the timer button which is also not working. she thinks several other people she knows had the same problem but they just replaced their oven rather than repair. Any answers would be gratefully received.

Whilst cooking, whole house fused, and when power put back on, the main oven failed to heat, fan and light are working. I am assuming that the element is broken and it tripped the fuses in my house. Are they easy to replace?

If the fan is running then it is unlikely to be the clock/timer. Yopu need to check if there is voltage to the element but you MUST be careful to avoid an electric shock. There is sometimes a thermal cut out in line with the supply from the thermostat and that would need to be checked. If all OK the thermostat is the likely offender

Hi - have a Neff U1721 double oven, the element in main oven went bang cracked the element and blow a hole in fan cover. replaced the element but now temp light comes on but doesn't heat up, can you...

Test element check for continuity across the terminals and it is getting power when switch onon. If both ok, chances are the front selector switch has blown.

Neff oven not heating have replaced fan element

it has to be the temperature control itself...thats the only other component, aside from the high-heat cut out switch which rarely goes bad.

The bottom (fan oven) of my Neff U1721 made soft bang noise and failed. The fan stopped, the oven light went out and the thermostat light. I replaced the burnt out heating with a new element with a 32.5...

The power to the fan and thermostat is the fault. You will need to trace wiring from these elements to power source and I suspect that where the power cord meets the oven is where you'll find the cause.

Lower oven not giving out any heat, fan working, light working

If fan is working ok, then you need to fit a new oven element, located at rear of oven behind a removeable cover.
Please rate my soution.
Thanks.

The fan and oven light in bottom oven works but not heat.

The heating element is the likely culprit as they burn out and go open
circuit..(ie ...disconnected and will not heat up )
If you can use a multi-meter , then the element can be tested using the resistance range (with the oven SWITCHED OFF )

Neff U1721 bottom oven not heating fan & light are ok

Yes it will need a new element, if the fan runs and temperature light comes on then the element is gone.

Lower oven not heating up everything else is working fine

hi, we have had the same problem. You can order the element from many places online, the cheapest is about £25 ranging up to £60 from neff themselves. Fitting it is ok the hardest part is getting the fan off to change the actual element. However, be warned, we are now on our 4th element and it just went again last night. Neff deny that this is a known fault that the elements keep going. However, at least 10 of our neighbours have had the same problem with their oven too!
