5 Answers

I need Please a solution to F1 Error Code on GE/Kenmore electric ovens Model # 911.4658815 Thanks E-mail: elylimo@gmail.com I have the same model number. 9114658811 and plugged in the stove for the first time. F1 shows up and beeps and when I cancel it the same thing keeps happening every 15 seconds or so. I thought maybe it needs some kind of programming. The manual is no longer available.

Error F-1 code means the control board has a defective Thermistor Control. Replacement is the only option.

Retail parts dealers and appliances parts stores can also help
determine what the possible problem may be based upon that specific
brand and model. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Dealers and

    Additional Suggestions:

Read the manufacturers online web site for product information, problem
possibilities, causes, solving methods, part locations, disassembly,
reassembly methods, repair procedures, pictorials, schematics, repair
and or owners manuals which may be available online.

    Cautionary Note:

Before attempting any repairs, be sure to unplug the appliance from the wall receptacle power source first.

Hi,

To my understanding error code F1 would indicate a faulty control board, possibly thermistor control. The only recourse is to have this replaced.

This of course would require a fair familiarity of electrical/electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and possibly a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Incidentally, you could try a hard reset. That is unplug from the mains for a period of time to dissipate residual/stored electrical power inside. This normally would reset the unit and revert it back to factory defaults.

Thanks for using FixYa. F1 error means that the control board (ERC) has gone bad and the electronic range control (ERC) should be replaced to resolve the issue. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Kenmore oven control beeps and shows F1

According to Kenmore's list of error codes, F1 means EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure, and the solution is to replace the EOC. You might look into that. The part itself costs around $80, as far as I can see.

F1 error message Kenmore Electric range model 790.95680301

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

GE Wall Oven - error code F1

According to GE, the F1 fault code indicates a problem with the Electronic Range Control (ERC) Board. If the fault cannot be cleared, they recommend replacing the ERC and the touchpad. Has your repair guy tried any of these ideas? Post back with your comments, please.
