Power problems with monitor?

There appears to be a power problem in that when I switch it on the light goes orange, flashes intermittently and beeps and that is it.

I got the screen from a friend and put it on a 12v thing which is what I was told to do. Are there special 12 v boxes for monitors? Sorry not very technical

Anyone know what's going on

Hi...there,
It's seems you got backlight inverter problems... not your 12v AC adapter. You need to replaced a new backlight inverter. Have a nice day!

LG M197WDP, used as a monitor with a Windows 7 computer. Intermittently the monitor goes black for 15 to 20 seconds then the picture returns. I have checked drivers etc all up to date. Anyone able to

Could be a hardware issue, If the screen has a power light, does it change coulor (often green to orange) when the problem happens. If so its the screen inst getting any signal. It could be a connector or cable.

Why has my monitor turned orange. model dylm19r6 computer monitor

If you mean the light on your monitor is orange instead of green, it means the monitor is not receiving data from the computer.
Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Alarm beeps and orange light flashes when power is switched on.

If you unplug the power cord from the wall and the PSU, then flick the little red voltage switch on the back up and then back down again, plug it back in and it should work again

Lights 3 &4 stay on.

Computer beeping at you is usually a problem with the video card or memory. Try re-seating both and see if you still have the same problem. If you do, individually remove each component and power on to test if the beeps persist.

Blank moitor

can you chk anything abt the lights on the monitor ? ie.. the small ones near the power switch .. is it green / orange ..

Also do u hear any beeps when you power on your computer ? I vaguely remember that in case you hear three beeps, it could be a video card issue.
