Saeco Royal Digital Not brewing Coffee

HI, I would like to tap into your knowlege of my machine.
My problem......No water for brewing!
My machine grinds, steams and dispenses hot water via the steam wand.
No matter what size cup I choose no coffee. The machine will grind and and the dump the grounds, then stop. No error code or anything?!?!
Has worked fine for a long time.
FYI I have descaled and cleanned machine and brew unit.
Do you have any suggestions??

how do I program the machine? holding the button didn't work.
It doesn't seem to want to drop the grinds into the brewing area.

Error message says Coffee beans empty, but it is full and I see it is grinding and dropping overloaded grounds into and around brewing unit. I stick my finger up there and clean it out and it does the same thing again so it is grinding. It's like the valve that dropps the grind down won't function. Any suggestions?

For a while I was able to use the by pass ground coffee shute, but that does not work anymore and I found a little piece of plastic, short, round rod (piece) inside on the botton near the used grounds resivour. Could this be a piece that has broken off?

Also, it did make some loud cluncking noises before breaking down.

If you try to make a cup of coffee, hold the button to see if there will comes some coffee, it can be the memory that have loose the settings. If so you have to program the machine again.

Best regards

Hello, I have a Saeco Royal Digital Plus. I have a problem with water getting into the little tray under the brew. (Normally there will be little coffee residue in the tray). While doing the thin coffee....

This a normal operation. As much fine is the coffee grinding is set then the water make it more difficult to pass through and when the coffee process finish the water remains in the piping sytem after pressure lelease in the try under brew group. All you need to take care is that the grinding is not adjusted too fine thus runnig very slow and coffee will be burned and become bitter. Also you need to remove the brew group very often and clean it with warm water and every month remove the st. steel filter from brew and clean it so all holes are open from dry coffee. You can also use the special coffee cleaning tablets to perform a cleaning proccess so the machine remains in good shape. You can find all these informations, parts and others about your machine at the

My Saeco Royal Cappucino gives hard noise, when "tamping". The grind goes to waste-basket. No coffee..

There is a lever on the top of the door that has a + to the back and a - to the front. Pull the lever back 1 click to the front or - side. Your putting too much coffee in the brew unit and could break the brew drive.

Keeps saying "Coffee Beans Empty" - Saeco Royal Digital Plus

Either the coffee chute from the grinder is blocked, or the grind is too fine. Remove brew unit and check grinder chute.

Looking for instructions on cleaning and servicing the Saeco Royal

When you clean the brewing unit wash it with hot water, do not
use any solvent.

Make sure there are no coffee residues on the two steel filters: the upper filter can be removed by unloosening and turning the plastic pin anticlockwise using the tool supplied.
Dry thoroughly each central unit component, fit the filter again and tighten it properly with the screw .

To do a descaling:
Saeco descaler is recommended; however, you can use any non-toxic and/or non-harmful descaling product for coffee machines, commonly available in retail stores. The used solution is to be disposed of according to the manufacturer’s
instructions and/or regulations in force in the country of use.

Never use vinegar!

Best regards

No coffee, water going to the drip tray

OK, so this is a problem with your brew unit. The unit is not cycling correctly to tell the water to come through.

We had another problem like this just this week.

The wat we fixed it was 1) Give the Brew Unit a really good clean. 2)Make sure the Brew Unit can complete a cycle - manually rotate the brew unit components through a cycle 3) Lubricate the Brew Units moving parts if necessary using some Saeco or Other Food Grade Lubricant

Then try watch a complete coffee cycle by leaving the side door of your machine open, and tricking the micro switches into thinking the door is closed by engaging them with some card or something similar.

Let us know if this does not resolve your issue.

The machine won't start up

in the self test does it flush the unit ? If not you have to prime the unit by allowing it to pump hot water through the frothing valve. Open the valve and the pump should pulse water out. After this the machine should indicate it is in the operating mode for coffee
