I've just replaced all the ink cartridges on my HP photosmart C6100 All-in-One series printer and the display message says that all the cartridges appear to be missing.

Hi, sounds like driver issues:
Try updating your printer drivers:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done

Photosmart c7280 ink threshold exceeded


Sad to say I know how to fix this.
1. Power up the printer
2. set printer's date to the current day.
3. On the keypad press the * and # keys together
Now press one at a time 1,2,3 for the code
"screen stould display a white backround with 2 lines of info"
4. remove all the print cartridges
5. Press the >> arrow button twice until "reset menu" is found
6. Press OK
7. Select Partially full reset Press ok
( the printer will take almost to minutes before it powers down)
8. Power up the printer and follow the steps.
reinstall ink ect......

I don't know why this happens but I sure a lot of printers are in the trash because of this. If you print out a SELF TEST REPORT the
dates on the age of the ink Cartridges are likely out of life range.
Planned obsolescence by HP can be found all over the web. This could be one of those.

I have replace the yellow color cartridge on my HP Photosmart C6100 several times and it still says its empty.


clean the metal pins on the ink cartridge amd the pins in the printer were the ink cartridge geo's

What to look for when it keeps saying ... Error .... Remove and check color Cartridge?


I suggest you run the 'Tap 10' diagnostic test pattern for your HP PS 2600 series printer model...this will display the electrical health of the ink cartridges and confirm that your printer is operational (I am guessing one of the ink cartridge control lines is open).

What is printhead failure on my HP Photosmart C6100 series printer? and how can I fix it permanently?


The print-head is the "heart" of an ink-jet printer -- it pulls the ink from the ink-cartridges, and sprays the ink onto the paper.

If the "manufacturer-warranty" has expired, it is time to buy a new unit, and to responsibly recycle the old unit.

Error message Oxc18a0301 on my hp photosmart c6150 printer


Hi,

The "Oxc18" series errors can be removed by resetting the printer. Unplug the USB cable from the printer, remove the ink cartridges. When the "Insert ink cartridges" message appears unplug the power cord from the printer. Wait 1 minute (at least), then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer if it didn't come on by itself. Reinsert the ink, close the unit and print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally reconnect the USB cable to the printer. If this doesn't work, the unit needs service (or replacement if the service call will cost more than a new printer).

Hello,

The "Ink system failure" error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes, this happens if you use poorly filled cartridges or allow you cartridge to run all the way out. Screen showing the message "remove and check right cartridge". Have done this several times and still can't print


I've had the same error:

Hold down the following keys:

Photosmart Express, Photo Fix, Reprints, Print Photos and then Help.

You'll get the message: "Enter Special Key Combo"

Press OK.

Scroll over to Reports then self test: and press ok, it should print. a selftest report.

If you get an error Pen in Chute 1, or 2, has tsr failure: Call/Chat with an HP technician.

HP PHOTOSMART C6100 All in One series ran out of yellow and for the first time since we bought it it did not give us the option to print in black only. Message says Ink System Failure...cannot print fax...


I called HP for troubleshooting assistance. My printer HP All- in-One is only 2 years old. They were very nice to run through a series of steps with me...only to tell me that "It is broken" and I will need to buy a new one. So that's my solution for today....Which leads me to the next question...Do I get another HP or something else??
