If your sitting on the bike right front tire look down on engine u will see 2 plugs u take out with a big flat screwdriver. You will need to take off the right foot plate to get to it! I hope this helps

Nothing happens when I press the start button on my gp 1200 Yamaha. I have recharged the battery and checked the main fuse.

here is a list of things it could be. pull spark plugs check compression. all cylinders need to equal each other within five percent, and be over 100 lbs of compression. I don't know the year model but, some gp1200 comes with a security key pad. click here for a link to Yamaha, for the owners manual. it will give detailed instructions on how to reset code. last find the starter solenoid I have attached a the picture it has a number one marking the image. the discription at the bottom says starter relay assy A quick test of the starter is to jump across the leads. You need to be careful it will arc. best thing to use is a short screw driver. use the metal shaft of the screw driver to connect both threaded connectors on top.

Yamaha breeze 125 rolled off into pond and do i fix without having to keep changing the oil?

HELLO; Heres a soulution that might work for you, drain out your oil and add a gal. of solvent in the engine and slosh it around front to back, then drain it and leave the plug out for several days so most of the solvent will evaporate. Then buy cheap oil and run it in the engine and drain that out. GOOD LUCK......GREASY.

I want to change the oil in my yamaha big bear atv, early 90s. what type of oil do I need to use and is there anything else that goes along with the oil change-?filter

HELLO; Yes you will need a filter located lower left side behind the peg ,you'll see a cover thats about an inch and a half wide with three allen head bolts, pull out the filter and when you replace it make sure the hole is towards the engine. Now about oil there are several ideas on this so heres my ( 2 cents ) I repair quads and have for several years, you have a quad that has a wet clutch if it is an older one and semi automatic so you don't want to use syn. oil as this will wear out your clutch sooner, I would recomend, yamalube,it will cost up to $5.00 a qt. but you only need two and a quarter qts. to fill your quad. GOOD LUCK, and remember you must be fast, because I was haulin *** when I passed you!

Yamaha 570 exciter..wont start or run when cold

You need a richer mixture than normal in a cold engine. It sounds like your machine is too lean on the idle circuit. Turn the air screw in on each carb to richen it up. Also, verify the choke is working properly.

put jumper cables from battery to starter directly
to see if it turns over faster put red on starter lead and black on gorund(metal housing)

You may want to try this from a car battery to see if it spins faster if it does it indicates a problem with power from new battery check cables and lines for power blead
