Question about Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW LCD Monitor

SyncMaster 2253 BW Samsung

My picture does not fill the screen. I have tried to adjust it to 1680x1050 on the control panel but it does not allow me to go this high. There also seems to be fuzzy lines in sections of the screen. My operating system is Windows XP and I think my video card is a voodoo.

You have to use the dvi-d cables on both video card in order to get the higher resolutions on both screens. also the nvidia control panel must be set up the right way so that both screens receive the higher resolution.. there should be a selection for panning across both screens, and another for selecting apps on 1 screen and main os on the other. try changing those settings around, more than likely that is the reason that it's going at a lower resolution.

My syncmaster 245 bw will only display a blank screen through the dvi port. Another crt monitor works fine through the vga port . I'm running a nVidia 7800 GS video card.

You need to adjust the monitor refresh rate to 60 Hertz or 70 Hertz.
Use the CRT first to adjust it, then after adjust, plug in your Sync Master to see is it perfect or not, find the best frequency that work best.

To adjust it,right click on the screen, enter properties, then click setting tab.
Then in advanced tab, click it then you see the monitor tab, find the perfect screen refresh rate.
