Question about Televison & Video
My Sony tv model kv27v42 will not recognize the remote control
signal. I have ruled out the remote being the problem. I assume it has
something to do with the remote sensor on the tv itself. I live in a
very remote area where there are no repair shops. Is there a part I can
order and install myself?
At first I thought it was the remote, so I bought a universal remote and programmed in the appropriate numbers. No success. I foolishly assumed I had bought a defective universal remote and bought another. When this also did not work I tried programming it for the other devices (e.g. VCR, DVD) and it works fine. Hence my conclusion that the problem is in the TV, not the remote.
