If your using The new yahoo mail service try switching over to the Classic version. Or check ur system if is consuming all your band width without your knowlege.close down any other application that is usin ur net connection.

If it does happens this way, you gotta check your computers firewall settings. Or best turn off all protections and try entering the website
Or maybe your computer has been configured with a proxy ip
Click IE -> Tools-> IE Options -> Connections Tab - > Click on lan settings at the bottom right ->
And see if where the tick is. By default its in the first radio button

If ya settings has been ticked to use a proxy server, untick it and try again.

is the other website make you in? if yes then, theres a problem with account in yahoo however if all the wesites frozen when attempting to browser i assure that the current internet have errors on it or it was infected by spyware. virus and spyware can be deleted by antivirus and antispyware. so scan your sytem with it. if ever thesame happen, i will recommend the mozilla firefox browser. this a good browser and you very safe.
