Question about Computer Processors

1 Answer

Oc'ed and blew my GPU.

While OC'ing my AMD Athlon x2 5000+ Black edition, I pushed it to farand whenever I start up I get "No Signal" on my monitor. This leads meto believe that I've blown my GPU. The GPU/graphics card is integratedand I'm going to exchange it since it still has warranty. I amwondering if the processor is still good because AMD's RMA process istedious. When I turn it on everything seems fine, and the fans allspin, but due to lack of a monitor I cannot tell what's actually goingon.

The motherboard is a PC Chips AG138

With some motherboards the on board Video is automatically cancelled out when a slot dependent Video Controller is present. Bios will not change that option. If you want to use two Monitors at the same time, get a DUAL Video out card.

I would check one DIMM at a time. One slot at a time to isolate possible bad DIMM.

Here is the memoey support list just in case.

I need to find out if there is a compatible processor to the ADX215OCK22GQ for my motherboard.

The closest match from Athlon X2 family for the 215 is 7750 or 7750 Black edition. You would be better off checking out the motherboard manufacturers website to see what processors are compatible with your motherboard.

How to add core volatge? AMD ATHLON LE-1620 on biostar motherboard?

Well, when overclocking, one doesn't usually change the core voltages until _after_ manipulating the bus frequencies, core speeds, and ratios. One should understand manipulation of frequencies before messing with voltages because manipulation of voltages can lead to _fried_ components. Usually one can get a decent overclock just by manipulating the frequencies. Here is a _starter_ website:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/phenom-overclock-athlon,2161.html

Research, research, and research some more before trying to overclock.

Here are some required tools:
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=103

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

There are a lot more tools out there, these are just the ones that I use.

I'm running an Intel E8500 (3.1 Gz.) at a stable 3.5 Gz. with _no_ voltage changes. That's not a huge OC, but it's running at E8600 speed and the E8600 costs $100 more than the E8500.

Athlon 64x2 5200+ to Athlon (black edition)64x2 7750

ok
it's compatibel with any athlon processor
but not the black edition one

well, the problem maybe your chipset is not compatible with the black edition processor
second, let's think your chipset is compatible, but your bios don't. then you must to flash your bios with updated bios
and third, your black edition processor is broken

please rate and gimme more specific specification of your mobo
