How do I fix base unit battery charging system not property working when I leave hanset on base unit automatic dead when I lft hanset for answer incoming calls?

It is highly likely that your battery pack needs replacing. If you have had it for more than a year and use it often then it is quite possible. You can buy a new one at radio shack online or search for one similar on ebay. Price is about 10 pounds though.

If you have more than one of these phones it may be worth while buying more than one as it will save you postage and might get you a discount.

Hope this was helpful

My phones went dead and went into searching mode. Phone lines are working just not base

Your base station is dead, this is common with Uniden phones. You will need to purchase a new base station. You can use the new base station with existing phones as long as you buy a compatible model.

Display check phone line

Either your phone line is dead or your base station is not plugged in correctly (or broken). Buy a cheap non-wireless phone and check the phone jack. If that phone works your Panasonic was had the line plugged in correctly you need to buy a new phone. If not you need to call your phone company and get a repair scheduled. Note, the phone company will charge to repair phone lines if they are damaged inside your house.

No Dail tone on Line 2. We have 4 lines in total. Today when we pick up line 2, it's open and there is no dial tone. How do we fix this?

It's a good bet that the line is dead before it comes into the building. Call your service provider and start a trouble ticket.

I can't read whats on my display screen? Alot of the letters are missing. please help

most likely a defective phone. Phones made today are not of very high quality, mostly imported. Buy a new phone, keep the receipt just in case, and that should solve the problem.

One dead phone out of three

It may be a stupid question but you didn't state the answer; did you allow sufficent time for the replacement battery to charge?
12-14 hours may be necessary to bring a new battery up to full charge.

Instead of wasting time and gas finding, then returning the new battery pack, you could have swiped the pack from a working phone to test the dead one.
If the handsets are fitted with Ni-Cad batteries, the individual cells can short and one out of three dead = no operation.

The cost of a simple digital multimeter is now so low, ~ $10 US or less for example, it pays to have one at home to check such things before spending time to look for items you really don't need.
The meters are very simple to use and generally come with brief instructions (albeit in Chinglish) that are adequate for homeowner use.
These are available from various tool outlets, eBay, etc. or if you have Radio Shack, you can buy one there for only twice the price elsewhere.
