Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO REINSTALL THE M.S.OFFICE FROM GHOST FILE IN HARD DISC.

If you are using "Norton Ghost" then it is similar to a standard backup/restore programme.
Open Ghost, select all of the files you require, if it is a programme that you want then you must include the Windows directory and System 32 directory as there are files the computer requires to register the programme again.
Usually Ghost is used to replace all of your data on the hard drive.
If you have additional files that you wish to keep, backup those files first, then you can add them to your recovered hard drive.
Hope this helps.

How to Recover your system from the Cyber Security Virus

It is best to try to remove this virus that pretends to be the Windows Security center before you start the operating system using either an Antivirus OR Antispy boot CD.

I created this SpybotSD BootCD a few months ago unzip and burn to a CD-RW I will post later versions when I have time.

http://rapidshare.com/files/296486827/SpybotBootCD.part1.rar

http://rapidshare.com/files/296511405/SpybotBootCD.part2.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/296531828/SpybotBootCD.part3.rar

If you have either Norton Ghost v12 or v14 I have created this script that will auto-generate the latest antivirus definitions onto a CD-RW feel free to use it, just boot the Ghost CD first then when you are ready to use the inbuilt scan for virus option within ghost remove the Boot CD and replace the one my script generates.

There is Nortons own Antivirus 2009 boot CD available but you will needthe correct version serial number to make it work here is the downloadlink for recovery_nav_x86.iso however with the serial this is useless I suggest my Ghost method as most people have this boot CD or if not should have.!!

Tip

Re-Create your original NAV2008 non boot CD adding the latest Virus Defintions

This will re-create your original Norton Antivirus Install CD with the latest virus definitions by replacing the bundled 32 and 64 bit versions with the latest. I recommend that you use a CD-RW and update it as often as you can new defintion i32 files come out almost every day

The install requires a valid serial so unless you have one don't bother

You can also download a bootable CD version of NAV2008 to scan your PC if you have a valid serial number is at v1.4.3.38 and contains the definitions for the 29th August 2008 search the internet for NAV RECOVERY x86 SKU 14139706, I use it sometimes however I prefer to use Ghost v14.0 with my Updated Virus Defintions CD.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3561871-automatically_create_an_update_virus_def

This is also worth a read from the norton website, this descibes how to use the WAIK to update the NRD for 2009 you will need the serial number to make this work as I don't have it I have not done this yet as I have now moved to SKY ISP and I get McAfee for 12mths for free.

http://community.norton.com/norton/attachments/norton/uploads/42/2/MakeNewNRD.pdf

Here is the link for the NRD on their ftp site you must have a valid serial for the NAV2009 to use this so If you don't either buy one or don't its up to you.

Looking for the backup option for computer

I suggest that you use Norton Ghost v14.0 and create a compressed image of your primary partition to a DVD-R. You can use my autoupdate of Norton Antivirus Update Defintions for use with Ghost v14.0 for pre-boot virus scans, download the ISO burner and creater HERE or HERE please keep my links alive.

This will allow you to reinstall after catastrophic failure of your HDD.

If you just want to backup your images and documents a good U3 stick drive or USB harddrive is an excellent option for storing your document folders.

Automatically create an Update Virus Defintions CD for Norton Ghost v12.0 and...

Got Symantec GHOST12 (bootable CD) + NAV2008 (non-Bootable) with a valid serial number and want a method to scan your PC for Virus with the latest Virus Defintions but you don't have NAV2008 installed because your ISP gived you a free Virus Suite then read on.

I have created this semi-automatic method to create a virus CD that will work with the Scan for Virus option on the Ghost Boot CD simply replace the Ghost CD with the one this creates and select browse usually for D: drive you will see your CD-ROM access light action as the Ghost loaded on Ram disk updates itself.

Download link for the Norton Ghost definitions Updater is HERE you need to join my group on facebook @windowstipsclub.com to request the password to unzip as this was originally posted there first, though you FixYa's might like it too plus there are other great tips and tricks. The download link for my Norton AV2008 definitions install CD is HERE on my rapidshare due to a 50MB upload limit on my Sky Drive.

You may also need to enable Windows Scripting Hosts do this using THIS from my Sky Drive to enable the VBS script to run at the start of both autoupdaters.

CreateUpdateVirusCD.bat - Will download the latest i32 definitions file and then action the full unzip ISO and burn in one go if you already have the ISO created then you can run the file below. first it will allow you to run a vbs script to clean then temp files Ihave found this to be required on some systems before the downloadsucks in the latest i32 definition file from the FTP server it willthen unzip it and create a Update Locator Virus Definition folder on your desktop similar to the UPDTLCTR.EXE function that is bundled with the Ghost CD (this only works if you have NAV2008 pre-installed and can't create the folder otherwise)

makecd4defs32.bat - will create an ISO from the Desktop Folder and burn the CD for you using mkisofs.exe and parts of the CYGWIN dll's this will burn the ISO to your CD/DVD burner it is set to default scsibus1 (dev=1,0,0) if your burner is on a different channel then you can run scanbus note the number and edit the listmem32.awk by altering the numbers shown in bold and saving the changes, if your drive is on scscibus2 then change to 2,0,0 and so on...

print "cdrecord speed=0 -dev=1,0,0 -dao -v Virusdef.iso" >> "dumpit.bat"

a15e609.jpg

In the case of this scanbus the CDRW is located on scsibus1 but connected at 1,1,0 so change the line to read.

print "cdrecord speed=0 -dev=1,1,0 -dao -v Virusdef.iso" >> "dumpit.bat"

Norton Ghost v12.0 ( includes defintions no later than 2007)
Norton Ghost v14.0 ( includes defintions no later than 2008)

At time of posting the latest intelligent updater defintions file is 20091202-006-i32.exe which includes definitions not later than 2/12/2009 this can now be used in conjunction with your Bootable Ghost CD to give your PC an up-to-date scan using the latest protection

Last note you will have to create the desktop file if you have not tried to run the original update file from the Ghost CD otherwise the script will fail feel free to add these line to the script if you wish that is if you can get the mkdir command to create the Update Locator Virus Defintions folder.

I'm trying to instal Norton Ghost 14. Installation goes fine until reboot. I get error E1AD3212 oon Ghost startup ande can't start the Ghost service manually -- Is there a fix for this -- Windows XP SP3...

Which antivirus previously installed? If any antivirus present then remove it in safe mode.
And better to install Norton in Safe mode
Go to Safe Mode with Networking by Tapping F8 key during Bootup, a black screen with option, select the option and then login as Admin account..

If it fails, then try using the Security Configuration Tool to make sure you have privileges to Ghost. You'll find the Tool in your programs menu under Programs|Norton Ghost|Security Configuration Tool.
After then, install Norton.. Let me know the status for further assistance.
Best of Luck
