I have viedo sound but no picture

Hi Steve,

I see you have no picture/video but you get audio right.

Try to update your Codecs on your computer, I use k-litecodec pack full.

go to this should get you to the page where you will see the list of the codecs that can be downloaded.

once you installed K-lite codec on your computer you will have the capabilities to play other video formats without issues.

I hope this will help, it works for me it should work for you.

Recently put factory radio back in truck radio comes on but no sound from speakers is not working only hear speakers when I run radio directly to speaker it sounds like static but no audio

You need to re-trace your wiring and check your fuses! It's going to be one or the other? Or your Radio is defective!

Try testing the Radio straight from the car battery (or another charged 12 volt battery) using small alligator clips to see if it works, with a good speaker hooked up to it.
(A Speaker you know works, not one out of the car!)

This way you'll know if the Radio is good? If the Radio works, fuses are good and wiring is correct, than you have bad speakers!

Hope this helps! Please rate my help, if I was of any assistance to you at all! Thanks!

Chicago IVDM 7002 and DX-V connection? I have installed the head unit, tuner and DX-V into my car. All apears to work ok but the remote for the DX-V does not opperate. I have swapped all components as I...

I am sure you must have followed the manual ( : is where I downloaded the user installation guide and some aspects while reading it & your description/procedure rang a bell while going thru the precautions mentioned therein, and are:--

DO NOT connect any speaker wires to the metal body or chassis of the vehicle.
• DO NOT connect the speaker common (-) wires to each other.
• Connect each speaker wire directly to each speaker terminal.
• All speaker common (-) wires must remain floating. ie - no common connections or connection to vehicle ground.
• Connect each pair of speaker leads only to a single speaker (or speaker system) that has an impedance of at least 4 ohms, as well as a 50-watt power-handling capability.
• DO NOT connect speaker leads to any inputs on external amplifiers. This will cause damage to the internal amplifier of this unit.

Somewhere here there is note which is jarring my sixth sense. Hope you will be able to catch the drift and find out where you went wrong....................................sodeep

I have a white female rca and a red female rca which means right and left speakers hanging out of the back of my car audio cassette player. i can't anything out of them, nor can i get anything to go...

Hello joebobstgeor,

I wasn't able to lookup a manual for the Sharp GB960. In fact, manuals for any Sharp car audio product was woefully absent.

Try connecting the cables to the input of an amplifier. Female RCA jacks are used for low-level (preamplifier) outputs for subwoofers, sound processors, and additional amps. The impedance of the output is typically in the 20-25Kohm range and would not produce any sound in speakers or even low impedance headphones.

It's also possible that the RCA cables are an "AUX" input to the receiver and not an output. Although many of the mobile audio manufacturers are now using front-mounted phone mini-jacks as "AUX" inputs, some still have rear mounted RCA's.

Hope this helps.

2001 dodge grand caravan. Radio works but no sound from the speakers. The tape deck was not working but my kids stuck a tape in there anyway and it got stuck. The speakers stopped working at the same time,...

Had the same problem, but after I pulled the radio and then re-installed. Turned out there was a single wire that is separate from the rst of the harness that had come off the back of the radio. It attaches on one of the ground tabs. Would also explain why some aftermarket radio won't work. I don't know what that wire does and why it needs a ground on the back of the radio to make the speakers work - especially since the unit is already grounded, but the radio works again and my wife is happy whic, of cource, means everyone is happy.
