What usually breaks is the door open lever.

On an over-the-range model, only the control panel needs to be removed in most cases.

Please unplug the oven first.

At our site, we now have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

We have 2 service manuals that are very close to this model have uploaded it them our site here to help you. You will need the free Acrobat Reader to view or print them.

(Note: do not rely on the part numbers shown in the manual. Verify them at the Tritronics site mentioned below)

Once it is apart, you'll be able to see how the door open button would press against the door open lever, which would then lift up against the door latch heads (hook-like projections on the door) to open the door.

You can usually find exploded views and order parts by entering your model number here at the Sears parts site.

The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.

Sharp Carousel R530BK microwave won't cook unless light pressure is kept on the door button.

There are door switches and one of them is evidently out of adjustment or the little actuator arm on it is.

Sharp carousel microwave convection oven keeps blowing fuse

The service manual is here:

You can get Sharp parts from Encompass here.

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.
See http://www.microtechfactoryservice.com/cap_test.html

If it went dead several seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.
See: http://www.microtechfactoryservice.com/xformer.html

If it goes dead or blows the breaker (or GFI) when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.

The push button that opens the door on our Sharp Carousel R-1406F over the range microwave, is broken. We can push it in but it gets stuck. I cleaned it out because it was kind of dirty but it didn't...

It may be the door open button or the door button lever. Sometimes grease is the culprit, other times the surfaces where these two meet get worn, making the door harder to open.

You can find the full service manual free at our site here.

You can find Sharp part at the Sears Parts Direct Web site hereimage-4235112-10659157 or Encompass here.

Sharp R 1514 fan button

The only two springs I know of in this model are for the door open button and the door latch.

We have a similar model's service / repair manual and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

It will give you safety info, step by step help in disassembly and troubleshooting tips.

You will need the
free Acrobat Reader to view or print it in case you don't have it already.

If you have a bad fan button, you would need to order a new select button assembly.

The part number is JBTN-B138MRF0 and you can order it here.

If you need other parts for this model, you confirm part numbers and order them from Encompass (formerly Tritronics). Or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

I have a sharp microwave oven R 1514. there are 4 buttons on the front and one is broken, will not pop back out. I bought new springs and need help with the installation

It looks like you need to remove the unit from the wall, remove the outer cabinet sheet metal, then remove about 6 screws from the backside of the control panel.
You should be able to tell as you get in there what needs to be removed.
But it doesn't look like you can access to replace without taking the outer cabinet off.

Interior Microwave doesnt come on..Burned out?

If it doesn't have a door you have to remove the cover. Its likely a special microwave bulb and the socket will have to be replaced with the bulb. the bulb is built onto the socket.
